What is GrabPay Card?

GrabPay Card is neither a credit card nor debit card. Instead, GrabPay Card is a prepaid Mastercard. That means, you will have to first top up your GrabPay wallet before you will be able to spend on your GrabPay Card.

Apply for Physical and Digital Grab Pay Card

Digital GrabPay Card

To register for a digital GrabPay Card, you will need to first have a Grab account. Then, access the Grab app to apply for the digital GrabPay card.

Physical GrabPay Card

If you've successfully applied for your digital card you will then be able to request for a physcial GrabPay Card. However, you may be put on waiting list for Grab is still rolling out its physical GrabPay Card in batches.

How to apply for a GrabPay Card?

Step 1

If you're not a Grab user yet, download the Grab ride-hailing app on your iOS or Android mobile device. Then, sign up and register for a Grab account.

Step 2

If you're already a Grab user, open your Grab app, click on "Payment" from the bottom menu. Then, go to your GrabPay wallet and select "Get your GrabPay Card now".

Step 3

Follow the instructions on the app to complete your digital GrabPay Card application. Afterwards, do remember to top up your Grab wallet to start using the GrabPay Card.

Step 4

Now that you've activated your digital GrabPay Card, you can then request for a physical GrabPay Card via your Grab app You will have to pay a S$10 or 5,000 GrabRewards points as deposit.

Step 5

You will then have to verify your mailing address, and you will receive your physical GrabPay card between 7 and 10 working days.

Step 6

If you can't seem to find the option to "Request Physical Card" in your Grab app, fret not. The physical GrabPay Card function is still in the midst of launch and not everyone has access to this option just yet.

Grab Pay Top Up

How to top up your GrabPay wallet so you can use your GrabPay card? You can top up your GrabPay wallet via a transfer from your bank account, via your Visa credit card (at S$1 per transaction, free for S$400 and up), Visa debit card (free), Mastercard or American Express cards (free).

After you have received the notification that your digital GrabPay Card has been approved, you will need to activate the card before you can use it. To activate your card for use, go to the "GrabPay" section on your Grab app. You will need to key in your Grab PIN number to activate the card.

How to use digital GrabPay Card?

Once your digital GrabPay Card application has been approved, you will immediately be able to see the digital card on your Grab app. Open you Grab mobile app, select "GrabPay Wallet". Then, click on "GrabPay Card" and you will be able to see and access your digital GrabPay card.

How to activate GrabPay Card?

Now that you have received your physical GrabPay Card, you will need to activate it before use. Open you Grab mobile app, click on the "Payment" tab, followed by "View GrabPay Card details". Once you're in the GrabPay Card section, you'll see the option to "Activate Physical Card". A QR scanner will pop up. Scan the QR code on your GrabPay Card's packaging. Once that's done, your card activation is completed.

What is Grab's Hotline?

If you have a GrabPay Card issue or question and are looking for a Grab customer service hotline to call, you will need to do so through the Grab app between 8am to 12 midnight. To contact a GrabPay customer service officer, open the Grab app, click on "Account". Scroll all the way down, click on "Help Centre", then scroll down again, click on "GrabPay Card". Then, scroll down again and click on "Call Us". If your GrabPay digital card has been compromised, call (+65) 6902 1036 (24-hour).

What is a physical GrabPay card deposit?

If you have requested for a physical GrabPay Card, you will need to first pay either S$10 or 5,000 Grab Rewards points as deposit. You will, however, be refunded this deposit if you spend S$1,000 within 180 days (from the day you activate your card, doesn't include Grab Taxi, Food, Express, QR, or transfer payments). Why charge this deposit? According to Grab, this is to help Grab alleviate the implementation and delivery costs that comes with the physical card.
