How do claims work?
Firstly, you’ve got to be clear of what type of plan you purchased, when did the incident/illness occur (pre-trip, during-trip or post-trip), what belongings or items to claim for, and who are involved, before you make a claim.
3 Steps to Submit UOI UniTravel Insurance Claims
Prepare your supporting documents for the claim
When claiming with UOI UniTravel Insurance, scan or photograph original documents for online submission and keep the originals for six months, as they may be needed for review.

Fill in details and upload supporting documents
Submit your claims form and supporting document to UOI’s appointed claims handling agent, Broadspire by Crawford & Company at [email protected].

All claims must be submitted no later than 31 days after insurance policy expiry.
Wait for approval of claim and settlement
After submitting your claim, UOI will acknowledge receipt of your claim via either email or confirmation notice on their claims portal (if available).
This confirmation will include a reference number to track its approval status.
During this period, UOI might request for additional documentation where needed if there is any missing or unclear information. This includes medical reports, proof of expenses, statements, etc.
