Right now, Citibank comes up tops in terms of Shopee tie-ups and promotions.

On top of that, those who use the Citi Rewards Card can also get 10X rewards points (equivalent to 4 miles per S$1 spent!) on all online shopping, including, of course, Shopee. That benefit extends to other online services such as Grab and food delivery, but excludes travel.

There is no minimum spend on this credit card, but note that bonus points are capped at S$1,000 of online spending a month.

If you prefer a simple-to-use cashback credit card rather than earn rewards points, the Citibank SMRT Card is a worthy contender for your online shopping purchases as well.

Although its cash rebate on online shopping is not very high, there is effectively no minimum spending requirement. Spend less than S$300 a month, and your rebate is 2.7%; spend more than S$300 and you get the full rebate of 3%. Either way, it's decent.

The Citibank SMRT Card is also eligible for Shopee's Citi Sundays deal, so you also get that S$10 off on top of the card rebates.

UOB also offers all its customers some great Shopee promo codes.

HSBC's rewards credit card gives you 5X rewards points (i.e. 2 miles per S$1 spent) on online shopping as well as practically all forms of online spending.

While this rate is not quite as competitive as some of the other online shopping cards on this list, there is no cap on the points earned, so it is suitable for those occasional big-ticket online purchases.

One of the most versatile cashback credit cards around, the DBS Live Fresh Card is an excellent choice for those who spend quite modestly on online shopping.

As long as you hit the minimum spending requirement of S$600 a month, you can get 5% rebate on online shopping, as well as offline contactless spending.

The cashback is capped at S$20 for each category, though, so effectively good for up to S$400 spending online only.

Another excellent online shopping credit card from DBS is the DBS Woman's World Card. However, it is not as attainable as it has a minimum salary requirement of S$80,000 p.a. (It is, however, open to men and women.)

If you do qualify for this credit card, it gives you a respectable 10X points, or 4 miles per S$1, on online spending including Shopee.

Otherwise, consider the more junior version of this credit card, the DBS Woman's Card, which gives you 5X points or 2 miles per S$1 spent online. This one has the regular income requirement of S$30,000 p.a.

OCBC Shopee Promotions

on Online, Offline, Local and Overseas spend
S$1 = 10 OCBC$
with 18,000 OCBC$
S$50 Titanium cash

10 OCBC$ = 4 Miles
This powerful OCBC rewards card offers generous 10X rewards (4 miles per S$1 spent) on major online retailers, including Shopee but also the likes of Amazon, Lazada, Qoo10, Taobao and more.

The same benefit extends to offline shopping for electronics, kidswear and department stores. It's certainly a useful credit card to have if you are renovating or having a baby as these big purchases will add up.

In addition, the 10X rewards are capped at S$12,000 a year, so you need not worry about bursting a small monthly cap.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a Shopee voucher?

To get a Shopee voucher, open your Shopee app or the website and log in first. On the home page, you should see an icon for "Daily Vouchers", which is where you can find sitewide and store-specific vouchers. For credit card vouchers, go to "Partner Promotions" where you can check out what bank promotions are going on.

What is Shopee cashback?

Apart from whatever cashback you can get with your online shopping credit card, Shopee also sometimes has a "cash back" promotion on selected items. When you purchase an eligible item, you can get a percentage of it as a rebate in Shopee credits or Shopee coins. Of course, this is not really cash. You can only use them up in your next Shopee purchase.

Does Shopee offer free shipping?

Not all items on Shopee ship for free. Some sellers may choose to offer free shipping on selected items, or if you hit a minimum spend from their store. Others will charge a flat shipping fee no matter what. If you absolutely refuse to pay for shipping, check out Shopee Mall, which is where the bigger brands have their online stores. Supposedly, items on Shopee Mall ship for free, and come with a 15-day return policy.
