Most Singaporeans have a “go-to” supermarket for their regular shopping. Whether you usually shop at NTUC FairPrice or order on RedMart, make sure you get a credit card that does give cash rebates on that particular chain.

Estimate Your Grocery Spending

Just about every cashback credit card has a minimum spending requirement. Estimate your regular spending to make sure that you can attain it, or else your rebate will fall quite dramatically. If your spending is low or simply unpredictable, consider a credit card with no minimum spend.

Consolidate Other Spending

Regardless of which supermarket chain you patronise, there are plenty of great credit cards to choose from in Singapore. Currently, the Citi Cash Back Card and Maybank Family & Friends Card offer the highest cash rebate of 8% on groceries; however, note that both have fairly high minimum spending requirements.

Which credit card is best for NTUC FairPrice?

The “official” credit card for NTUC FairPrice is the NTUC Plus! Visa Credit Card, which gives you up to 12% rebate at NTUC, but you do have to be an NTUC member and jump through a few hoops. If you want less fuss, other credit cards such as the Citi Cash Back Card can still give you a pretty good 8% rebate.
