MSIG Travel Insurance Claims

How do MSIG travel claims work?

Before you make a claim with MSIG, you’ve got to be sure of the type of plan you purchased, when did the incident/illness occur (pre-trip, during-trip or post-trip), what belongings or items to claim for, and who are involved.

Here are 4 simple steps to submit your MSIG travel insurance claim

Step 1

Notify MSIG

Be it a claim for your scuba diving incident, COVID-19 medical expenses or damaged baggage, MSIG requires claim reports to be made via the MSIG SG app or their claims hotline at +65 6827 7660 (8.45am to 5.30 pm, Mondays to Fridays except Public Holidays).

Step 2

Get all the required documentation ready

To make the process easier and faster, you’ll need to know what to provide to MSIG for the assessment of your claim or claims. This include:

  • NRIC or FIN No. and other personal information
  • Medical reports and related evidence in the form of photos and/or emails
  • Proof of ownership of baggage or other related items
  • Original invoices and receipts
  • Trip invoices, ticket confrontation, boarding passes, photocopy of passport and visas
  • Police, airline, transport and accommodation reports

Step 3

Receipt of claim acknowledgement

Once you’ve submitted all the documents required via the mConnect app or MSIG’s online claims portal, you will receive a claim acknowledgement, before MSIG proceeds to review and settle your claim, which usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks.

Step 4

Settlement of payment

Look out for your claims payment made through your preferred FAST or PayNow payment options.
