Looking for a Citi credit card in Singapore with no annual fee

At the time of publishing, Citibank Singapore does not offer cards that are permanently "no annual fee for life", but most Citi cards come with first-year or multi-year annual fee waivers. After the promotional period, an annual fee will typically apply unless you meet the bank’s minimum spend or apply and qualify for another waiver.

The best no-fee option depends on whether you value cashback, rewards, or travel. Always double-check the latest terms with Citibank Singapore before applying, as promotions and card eligibility can change.

Cash back cards

Citi Cash Back+ Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (waived the first year)

  • Flat 1.6% cashback on all eligible spending, no cap, and no minimum spend

  • Simple, fuss-free–no categories to track, cashback never expires

Citi Cash Back Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (waived first year on request)

  • Up to 8% cashback on petrol and 6% on dining/groceries (with $800 min. spend per month)

Citi SMRT Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (2-year fee waiver)

  • Up to 5% savings on online shopping, groceries, public transport (min. spend of $500 required)

Spend regularly and maintain a healthy credit profile to potentially continue getting your annual fee waived in subsequent years.

Balance transfer and low annual percentage rate (APR) cards

Citi Credit Cards (all major consumer Citi credit cards listed above)

  • Most Citi cards feature promotional balance transfer facilities at 0% interest for up to 12 months, subject to processing fees

  • No Citi Singapore credit card currently offers permanent "no annual fee" for balance transfer products

  • Look out for first-year (or two-year) waiver and pay attention to the transfer fee (often around 1.5% to 2%) and minimum transfer amounts

Cards like Citi SMRT and Cash Back+ cards allow balance transfers and may suit those seeking to lower short-term interest costs.

Credit building cards

  • Citibank Singapore currently does not offer a secured credit card with zero annual fee for building or repairing credit

  • All publicly available Citi cards (Cash Back+, SMRT Platinum Visa, Citi Rewards, etc.) have an annual fee, with a waiver for the first year or two if you meet card requirements

  • For credit building without fees, consider student cards or secured credit cards by other banks (see Best Secured Credit Card Options in Singapore for alternatives)

Other cards

Citi Rewards Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (waived on request or with minimum spend)

  • 10X points on shopping and online spending (Cap of 9,000 bonus points/month)

Citi M1 Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (first-year waiver may be available)

  • Rebates on M1 telco bills, accessories, entertainment

Citi PremierMiles Card

  • Annual fee: $196.20 (first-year waiver available)

  • For new-to-bank customers, a first-year waiver will reduce your sign-up bonus

  • No fee for supplementary cards

  • Miles never expire; travel perks included

Citi Prestige Card

  • Annual fee: $535 (no fee waiver)

  • No supplementary annual fee for life

  • For high-income individuals seeking premium travel rewards/perks

Note: Citibank Singapore does not offer dedicated co-brand retail/airline cards with permanent $0 annual fee. You may, however, see temporary waivers and exclusive promotions.

💡 Key tip Annual fees, waivers, and promotions can change year to year. Citi offers generous annual fee waivers for new customers, and existing cardholders sometimes can negotiate another waiver. Always check the terms, spend requirement, and expiry date for fee-free periods.
