The DBS Chromo Card does the category-picking for you: each month it identifies your top two eligible local spend categories out of Dining, Travel, Shopping, Transport, Entertainment and Wellness, and applies up to 5% cashback to them, with 1% on other local spend. You can also toggle the whole card to miles mode instead and earn 1.3 miles per S$1 on eligible local spend, uncapped and with no minimum. The annual fee is waived for the first five years, and there's no foreign transaction fee on overseas or foreign-currency spend. Worth a look if you're in your twenties, spend mostly in SGD, and want a card that adjusts to your spending instead of asking you to predict it.
