AIG Home Insurance Claims

How do home claims work?

As with many other home insurers, before you request to make a claim with AIG, you’ve got to be clear of what type of plan you purchased, when did the incident occur, what home contents/items to claim for, and who is involved.

Here are 4 simple steps to submit your AIG home insurance claim

Step 1

Gather necessary documentation

Collect all the relevant documents related to your claim. This may include photographs of the damaged property, police reports (if applicable), receipts or invoices for repairs or replacements, and any other supporting evidence.

Step 2

Contact AIG about the incident

Inform AIG about the claim by contacting their customer service or claims hotline. Provide them with the details of the incident and the necessary documentation you have gathered. They will guide you through the claims process and may provide you with a claim form to fill out.

Step 3

Fill out the claim form

Complete the claim form accurately and provide all the required information. Ensure that you include details such as the date and time of the incident, a description of the damage, and any other relevant information requested on the form.

Step 4

Submit the claim form and documentation

Once you have filled out the claim form and gathered all the required documentation, submit them to AIG through the designated channel. This may include submitting the form online, through email, or by mail as instructed by AIG. Be sure to keep copies of all the documents for your records.
