The base 0.2% cash rebate for all spending is credited on a monthly basis, within the same statement month. The remaining 9.8% for bonus categories will be credited the following statement month after the $600 minimum spend criteria is met. Cash back is capped at total $100 per statement month, maximum $20 per spending category.
CIMB credit card overseas activation
You can use your CIMB cards for overseas transactions where your card is “inserted'' into the terminal. However, for transactions that “swipe” your CIMB card, there is an additional step required. You’ll need to activate your CIMB credit card’s magnetic stripe for overseas use via phone call at (65) 6333 6666. Once successfully activated, you will receive a confirmation SMS.
To be safe, make sure you always activate your CIMB credit card before going overseas.
