Sompo Maid Insurance provides comprehensive coverage such as hospital and surgical Expenses where coverage extends to private hospitals. Some key features of Sompo’s Maid Insurance is that it covers treatment by Chinese physicians, coverage for dread diseases and treatment for dengue fever. However, this coverage may not be applicable for the following cases mentioned.
Benefit is non-claimable in event that treatment was carried out in mental hospitals or homes or infant welfare centres, a part of routine physical examinations, health check-ups or done as a preventative measure such as vaccination.
Benefit cannot be claimed if diagnosis of dread disease occurs within the first 90 days of commencement of policy or maid does not survive the first 30 days from the date of the diagnosis.
Benefit does not cover damage caused by atmospheric or climatic condition, vermin, or any process of cleaning, repairing, restoring or alteration or due to wear and tear or unexplained disappearances of any household contents.

To cancel your Sompo Maid insurance, first cancel your maid’s work permit on the MOM website. Upon receipt of the Discharge Letter from MOM, you can email Sompo at [email protected] to cancel your policy.
To ensure timely processing of the claims you have submitted, do provide all supporting documents and complete the claim form fully.
Download a claim form and email completed form to [email protected] or send it to Sompo’s office. Online claim submission is available for applicable types of claim.
Claim has to be submitted within 21 days after a loss has happened. Claims must be supported with documents otherwise you may not be able to claim under your policy.
