What is a UOB 1-for-1 buffet?
- A 1-for-1 buffet promotion is similar to a “buy 1 get 1 free” shopping deal - for every paying guest, another person can dine for free. To maximise the discount, come in an even-numbered group (e.g. 4 pax). You will be billed for half the number of diners (so 2 pax), effectively saving up to 50%. Note that group size restrictions may apply, and you might need to pay service, corkage or other fees for the “free” diners.
Do I get UNI$ or cashback at buffets?
- Yes! When you use a UOB credit card to pay for your hotel buffet, you can usually earn the usual points or miles offered by the credit card. For example, paying with the UOB PRVI Miles Card will get you the 1.4 miles per S$1 spent. However, note that hotel buffets do not fall under the “dining” category, so you will not be able to get the maximum rebate with dining credit cards like the UOB YOLO Card.
Which UOB credit card is the best?
- For regular dining, UOB has a number of great credit cards like the UOB YOLO Card, UOB Lady’s Card and Krisflyer UOB Card. But for hotel dining in particular, we recommend using the UOB PRVI Miles Card. This lets you earn 1.4 miles per S$1 with no restriction on the spending category. There is no cap on the miles you earn, so you can sign up for a big group of friends.
