Here are 3 simple steps to apply for the Citi Cash Back+ Card
You may begin your application by clicking on our Citi Cash Back+ Card application link.
When you choose to apply online or through the Citi Mobile App and via SingPass MyInfo, Citibank will pull your identity and income data from SingPass (which is already verified), thus cutting short the processing time. The approval-in-principle page will appear within minutes of submitting your MyInfo.
You'll need to provide all the necessary documentation in order for Citibank to approve your personal loan application. This list of documents include:
You’ll be able to activate your Citi Cash Back+ Card instantly through the Citi Mobile® App and be invited to enter your 6-digit Unlock Code to secure all your credit card transactions. Thereafter, it’s ready for you to use on any of your purchases and you can track your cash back rewards with your Citi Mobile® App!
Besides the Citi Cash Back+ Card, the Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Smart Credit Card and CIMB World Mastercard are also among the other popular options you would have come across on MoneySmart's online credit card comparison wizard. Let's pit these 3 credit cards against one another to have a closer look at their requirements and benefits.
The key factors which we'll look at are interest rates, minimum annual income requirements and cash back benefits.
Among the 3 credit cards, the Citi Cash Back+ Card is the most convenient for spending on any category as you do not have to worry about checking on what type of purchases will entitle you to cash back. As long as you spend with your Citi Cash Back+ Card, there is at least a 1.6% cash back for you.
If you're looking for a higher percentage of cash back on certain types of purchases then the SCB Smart Credit Card may be a more apt option with its 6% cashback on everyday spend at selected merchants across fast food dining, coffee and toast, digital subscriptions and transportation.
When it comes to interest rates, the Citi Cash Back+ Card and SCB Smart Credit Card charge the highest interest rates of 27.90% and 29.90% respectively, and the Citi Cash Back+ Card even has an initial annual fee that is payable. However, the SCB Smart Credit Card offers one of the lowest interest rates among the 3 credit cards here, which can go as low as 23.90%.
Do note that all 3 credit cards require a minimum annual income requirement of $30,000 for Singaporeans and PRs. The Citi Cash Back+ Card is the most attractive option among the three cards for foreigners drawing annual salaries which are lower than $60,000.
Citi Cash Back + Card | SCB Smart Credit Card | CIMB World Mastercard |
---|---|---|
Interest rate: | Interest rate: 23.90% to 29.90% | Interest rate: 25.90% |
Minimum annual income: $30,000 for Singaporeans and PRs $42,000 for foreigners | Minimum annual income: $30,000 for Singaporeans and PRs $60,000 for foreigners | Minimum annual income: $30,000 for Singaporeans and PRs Foreigners are not eligible to apply. |
